A Drive in Me

A nurse by trade, but a videographer by passion, I began volunteering with Camp Encourage in the summer of 2020 by creating a virtual walkthrough video of the campgrounds. The tight-knit community and culture of care and support quickly instilled a drive in me to want to volunteer more.

I found myself creating the virtual An Evening with the ‘Rents video many of our Camp Encourage families were able to enjoy over the summer of 2020. During each recording session, I was able to hear the raw, personal stories of those in our Camp Encourage community that helped spur my drive to do more for this organization.

In the fall of 2020, I assisted in initiating a new Young Professional Board for Camp Encourage, serving as Vice President, aimed to support Camp Encourage in recruiting volunteers, fundraising, and bringing this awesome mission to emerging adults of all industries.
