We are excited to share that Kristi will be presenting at the Mental Health KC 2026 Conference! She will be sharing:

🩵"Invisible Inequities in Autistic Communities" on May 28th at 10:30 &

🩵"Crisis Through A Different Lens" on May 29th at 10:15.

This is one of Kansas City's largest mental health conferences, bringing together 900+ attendees for 1.5 days of education, connection, and real conversation about mental health in our community.

Starlight has kindly donated tickets to a few of this year's performances to Camp Encourage (thank you, Starlight!)! We’d like to extend the free tickets to our families, volunteers, and supporters. However, the tickets are limited so we’ll likely be holding a drawing or releasing them first come, first served.

The tickets are for the following performances and dates:
⭐️ Hadestown (Wednesday, June 10)
⭐️ A Beautiful Noise (Wednesday, July 8)
⭐️ Spamalot (Sunday, August 9)
⭐️ Disney's Newsies (Sunday, September 13)

We know that potential volunteers will more likely

We know that potential volunteers will more likely want to sign up when they hear, first-hand, from past and current volunteers how impactful and meaningful the experience is. And, it makes sense to reward our volunteers that kindly join our efforts to recruit new, quality volunteers.

SO, here's the scoop:

🌱 For every new FULL time volunteer recruited per SUMMER session that is accepted, a $100 cash incentive will be issued
🌱 For every new FULL time volunteer recruited per OVERNIGHT session that is accepted, a $50 cash incentive will be issued
🌱 Whoever brings in the most FULL time volunteers that are accepted this year will receive an additional $50 cash incentive
