GATHER 'ROUND THE FIRE

Vox Theatre

1405 Southwest Blvd., Kansas City, KS

At this year’s S’Mores & Pours event, we invite you to share in an evening of camp stories from parents, campers and volunteers as we celebrate 10 years of Camp Encourage! You won’t want to miss our cocktail hour and peruse our fabulous silent auction items. Enjoy the ease of mobile bidding so you can get back to connecting with fellow “campers” over delicious appetizers. When it’s time to sit down and gather ‘round the campfire, you’ll enjoy dining on local and in-season fare capped off by, of course, s’mores. Make sure to step into the Airstream Photo Booth to commemorate the night. We can’t wait to see you there!

FEATURING

Camp themed Cocktail Hour featuring beverage sponsors J. Rieger and Crane Brewery.

Open bar and local, in-season dinner capped off by s’mores, of course!

Thoughtfully curated silent auction with easy, online checkout, as well as a live auction.

EVENT CHAIRS

Connor Ellington

Connor Ellington

David & Amy Kempfe

This year, Camp Encourage is honored to have three Event Chairs!

Connor Ellington is a Camp Encourage alum, having attended four summer sessions. He thinks Camp Encourage is awesome because “it’s a new experience for people like me and people like you. There are great activities to enjoy. The camp counselors are awesome by making you feel special and at home.” Connor is a member of the Teen Advisory Group for Woodeneath Library, has a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, and enjoys archery.

David and Amy Kempfe have been happily married for 14 years. David works in retirement sales and service for Principal Financial Group. Camp Encourage has been a part of his life for many years, the last three of which he has served on the Board. Amy works as a Special Education teacher in the Raytown School District. Both Amy and David hold education close to their hearts and believe that knowledge is power. As supporters of Camp Encourage, David and Amy would love to see the organization grow in its education of children on the autism spectrum.
