Our 7th annual An Evening With the 'Rents stand-up comedy benefit will be VIRTUAL for all the world to see!
An Evening with the ‘Rents 2020 was rescheduled for Friday, September 18, 2020!
The safety of our guests, volunteers and performers continues to be of utmost importance to us. ‘Rents typically gathers roughly 400 individuals and because we’re not certain how the months leading up to the event will unfold, we didn't want to take a risk that would jeopardize the health of our guests and camp family. Due to these factors, we shifted this year’s An Evening with the ‘Rents show to a virtual performance.
Yes, it won’t be the same. But it will still be grand and will provide all ticket holders with a much deserved night of laughter and joy. Perhaps you can host a watch party in the comfort of your home--gathering with a small group of friends and loved ones. Or, perhaps you prefer to stay in your flannel PJs and cuddle up under cozy blankets to laugh the night away solo.
Here’s the best part...this year’s show will now not only be available to those able to attend in the Kansas City area but, it will now be able to be viewed by those around the globe!
If you are a ticket holder, you will have access to the virtual event and all details were sent by email on Friday late morning. CHECK YOUR EMAIL INBOX FOR ALL DETAILS! If you are not seeing it, email email@example.com and it will be resent to you.
The An Evening with the ‘Rents 2020 virtual show will only be available to ticket holders and will not be released at a later date.

ABOUT THE EVENT
This is a one-of-a-kind, laughter-filled fundraiser! What makes An Evening with the 'Rents unique is that the comics are all individuals, siblings, or parents of children or adults with autism spectrum disorder. For months, they work alongside local comedians to craft their very raw life experiences into hilariously touching stories that promise to encourage and enlighten you.
Whether you have a personal connection to individuals on the autism spectrum or not, An Evening with the 'Rents is so much more than a benefit. It creates an electric atmosphere where everyone can leave their troubles at the door and experience freedom and community through laughter.
LET'S MAKE THIS THE MOST SUCCESSFUL 'RENTS YET!

HOW TO WATCH THE VIRTUAL EVENT
Hosting a virtual event is new to Camp Encourage and it may be a new experience for you as well. Details will be sent to each ticket holder by EMAIL. Please be watching your email inbox for the link to the youtube event!
We truly thank you for being patient as we cancelled at The Folly this past March; then, as we adjusted the comedy and transitioned to a virtual format. It’s been an unordinary year, for sure. We’re especially eager to share in a night of much needed laughter!
The past several months, the comedians have been recording their comedy from the safety of their homes. We can’t wait for you to see this year’s reinvented show!

We send abundant thanks to each sponsor as well as each individual that braves the stage in front of the massive audience to share his or her story—sharing the joy and laughter in both the trials and goodness experienced.
We also want to thank Keenan Stump and Matt Braun, Speech Language Pathologists from New Balloon Therapy Services for creating this brilliant event in 2014 in support of Camp Encourage. Not only do they have a wonderful sense of humor but their hearts are full of love for those we serve. Keenan and Matt's dream for An Evening With the 'Rents was for it to be a grassroots event; that those participate pass the torch, providing support and friendship along the way.
Thank you ALL for supporting the mission of Camp Encourage and those we serve!
